Account Deletion Guide

Effective: 09 September 2026 Version: 1.0.0 App: BharatGeoTag 0.31.0+34 Provider: Trivartha
Important. BharatGeoTag does not require you to create a cloud-hosted account to use any feature, including Pro. Your "profile" lives entirely on your device. Deleting the account therefore means (a) wiping the on-device data, (b) revoking your Pro entitlement, and (c) requesting removal of any cloud-side records tied to your email or purchase history.

1. What "Account" Means Here

The free tier of BharatGeoTag has no account at all — installing the app gives you a fully functional camera + field-documentation tool with no sign-up. BharatGeoTag Pro uses the Google Play / Apple App Store account that paid for the subscription as the implicit identifier, but we do not maintain a separate user database with your name, password or profile.

When this page refers to "your account", it means the union of:

2. Delete On-Device Profile

The on-device profile is the bulk of "your account". Remove it with the in-app Erase my data action — it walks every repository and file path through DataWipeService and resets the app to a fresh-install state.

  1. Export first. Open any Field Visit, Inspection or Property you want to keep, and tap Share PDF. Stamped JPEGs in your Gallery that you have not yet shared are deleted by the next step.
  2. Open Settings. Gear icon → Privacy section.
  3. Tap "Erase my data".
  4. Confirm. A confirmation dialog lists the deletions. Tap Erase.
  5. Uninstall the app (optional). Once the data is wiped, uninstalling removes the app shell itself.
This action is irreversible. Make sure any PDFs you want to keep are already exported to a location outside the app (e.g. Drive, email, USB).

3. Revoke Your Pro Entitlement

Pro entitlement is tied to your Google Play or Apple App Store account, not to your BharatGeoTag install. To fully sever it:

3.1 On Android (Google Play)

  1. Cancel the subscription. Open the Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → SubscriptionsBharatGeoTag ProCancel subscription.
  2. Manage Play data. Visit myaccount.google.com/yourdata to request deletion of purchase history tied to BharatGeoTag.
  3. Sign out of Play on the device (optional). If you want no Play-side trace at all, remove your Google account from the device.

3.2 On iOS (Apple App Store)

  1. Cancel the subscription. Settings → [your name] → SubscriptionsBharatGeoTag ProCancel.
  2. Request App Store data deletion. Visit privacy.apple.com and request deletion of App Store data.
  3. Sign out of Apple ID (optional).

3.3 On BharatGeoTag itself

  1. Open Pro settings. From the home screen → All Tools → BharatGeoTag Pro.
  2. Tap "Restore purchases" once if you intend to keep the subscription active but on a new device — this refreshes the entitlement against your store account.
  3. Sign out when the feature becomes available in a future release (currently you cancel via your storefront as above).

4. Delete from Trivartha's Records

To ask us to remove every record Trivartha holds that is linked to you (support emails, forwarded tax invoices, manually logged account notes), email support@trivartha.com with:

We may need to verify your identity before acting — this prevents anyone other than you from destroying your data. We will reply within 15 days.

5. Google Play & App Store Account Data

BharatGeoTag does not maintain its own user database, so the only "account" data that exists outside your device is what Google and Apple keep for billing purposes. Each provides their own deletion tools:

StorefrontWhat they holdHow to delete
Google PlayAnonymised product ID, signed purchase token, billing address (if entered), payment-method token.myaccount.google.com/yourdata/delete → choose Google Play Store.
Apple App StoreApple ID email, anonymised product ID, signed JWS receipt, billing address.privacy.apple.comDelete your account or Delete data from Apple.

Note that deleting your entire Google / Apple account is destructive — it affects all apps and content on that account, not just BharatGeoTag.

6. What Survives & Why

ItemWhy we keep it
Tax invoices for Pro purchasesRequired under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and the GST framework (typically 6 years from the financial year-end).
